Week six and we still have resources for you! That's a good sign:) Enjoy the blog this week!
Perhaps one of God’s greatest attributes is his ability to be in all places at the same time. The technical term is Omnipresent. It is what allows us the right to claim that our faith is very personal. I am not a faceless ID number in the lambs book of life but I am his child and his friend. Poems and songs love the line, “He knows my name.” I’m sure that you wish you were omnipresent sometimes. Able to tuck each of your kids into bed at the same time and spend lots of time with them instead of bouncing from bed to bed. Alas, but we have all discovered that He is God and we are not. Yes somehow, as parents, we need to be fully present with each of our kids at numerous points. It never seems fair to the ones who we have to ignore for a time but it all works out somehow in the end. May God grant you the courage and wisdom to do what you have to do for your kids. He who calls you is faithful (1 Thess 5:24).
Keeping a steady Sunday school curriculum might be difficult for your family during this time. That makes sense, and there's no need to feel bad about it! There are so many other ways to spiritually connect with your kids throughout the week and to get them exploring and learning about God. You might wanna look for something that works a bit better for you and your family. One thing my family used to enjoy doing was meal-time devotions. It's really nice to have some good conversation over a shared meal. If you would like to check out some good discussion ideas, you can look at these 100 Mealtime Questions and these 100 Heart-to-Heart Questions from Focus on the Family!
We're here to support you during this time- let us know if there's anything else we can do for you, and we'll be happy to do what we can.
Otherwise, you shall all be kept in our prayers. I hope your family finds some wonderful time to connect with God together this week, however that may look for you!
Until next week:)
